Military Real Estate Agent in Great Falls, MT: Why I Earned KW Military Mission Ready Status

If you are looking for a military real estate agent, Great Falls, MT has one who has been tested on it. On October 27, 2026, I became the first KW Military Mission Ready agent in Montana. As of this writing, I am the only one in the state.
Mission Ready is a standard set by My Military HQ, a veteran-owned network. It is earned by passing four certifications covering military service, VA loans, PCS relocation, and referral conduct. It cannot be bought.
I am an Air Force veteran who separated at Malmstrom and bought a home in Great Falls. I know the military side of a move from the inside. This standard tested whether I know the real estate side well enough to be held to it.

What a military real estate agent should know
Any agent in Great Falls can sell you a house. A Malmstrom REALTOR® should be able to handle the parts of a military move that break transactions.
That means VA entitlement math, not just “VA loans accepted.” It means knowing what happens to a closing when a report date slips. It means running a purchase for a buyer who is still at their current duty station and cannot walk the property.
Most real estate professionals learn those things by getting one wrong. I wanted to be tested on them first.
What Mission Ready is
My Military HQ is a national network of real estate agents who serve military clients. It is not a brokerage, a franchise, or a lead service. Agents keep their own brokerage and team. My team is Painted Sky Realty Group, and Keller Williams Northern Montana Realty is my brokerage in Great Falls.
Mission Ready is the network’s professional standard. The organization’s own line is that it is earned, not claimed.
To hold it, an agent completes four certifications in order and stays an active member in good standing. If membership lapses, the status lapses with it.
How it is earned
The pathway is four certifications and 24 modules. Each module is passed by missing no more than two questions. Each certification ends in a scenario-based assessment that must be passed before the next one opens.
| Certification | Covers |
|---|---|
| C-01 Military Service Literacy | Branches, rank, service culture, the military lifecycle, separation and transition, SCRA protections |
| C-02 VA Loan Fundamentals | Eligibility, entitlement, Certificate of Eligibility, funding fee calculations, appraisal standards |
| C-03 PCS Relocation | Orders timelines, remote transactions, compressed closings, pressure from outbound listings |
| C-04 Advanced Referral Network | Communication standards, referral follow-through, conduct expectations on the network |
An agent who fails the standard does not hold the certification and it does not show on their profile.
I completed all four. The network also lists me as a Founding member, which means I joined during the network’s launch period.
Why I did it
I separated from the Air Force here in Great Falls. I bought a house here. I have been on the receiving end of a PCS move more than once, so I know what a slipped report date does to a closing timeline.
Being a veteran is a credential. It is not the same as being tested on what to do when the Certificate of Eligibility shows partial entitlement from a prior loan.
Mission Ready was the first program I found that tested those things instead of selling a badge. That is why I took it.
What it means for Malmstrom personnel
You get an agent who has been tested on the parts of a military move that trip up transactions.
VA loans. I have been assessed on entitlement, the funding fee, the VA appraisal, and reusing the benefit. If a lender tells you something that sounds off, I can tell you whether it is. The VA home buyers page covers how the loan works in Great Falls.
PCS timelines. Orders change. Report dates move. I have been trained on compressed closings and remote transactions, which is how many inbound Malmstrom purchases happen. I can run the home search in the Great Falls area while you are still at your current station.
Selling on the way out. Outbound sellers get pressure from both ends: a buyer who wants concessions and a report date that will not wait. The sell your home page explains how we handle that.
Referrals to other markets. If your next duty station is somewhere I do not work, the network has Mission Ready agents at posts across the country. The referral conduct standard (C-04) is part of the certification, so the agent on the other end is held to the same rules I am.
Separating here. If you are getting out at Malmstrom and staying in Great Falls, I did the same thing. The leaving Malmstrom guide covers housing when the BAH stops.
What it does not mean
It is not a VA designation, and it is not a government program. My Military HQ is a private organization.
It is not a promise that your transaction will be easy. It is a statement that your agent has been tested on the hard parts.
It is not a Keller Williams certification, though that is how I got to it. I am a member of the KW Military Community, which was the first community to stand up on the My Military HQ platform. Community membership is for KW agents. The Mission Ready standard belongs to My Military HQ and is held to the same test no matter which community an agent came through.
How to verify it
My Military HQ keeps a network map of its agents. As of October 28, 2026, Montana shows one agent: me, with the Mission Ready and Founding badges.
